About Project
The proposed Hyatt Place Hotel in Kupondole, Lalitpur (Kathmandu Valley), is a luxury multi-level hospitality development designed to become a landmark property offering modern comfort with deep cultural integration. The hotel features 106 thoughtfully designed guest rooms , including King Rooms, Twin Rooms, Smart Rooms (for specially-abled guests), Suite Rooms, and Extended Stay Suites. Public areas include a grand banquet hall with pre-function space, a vibrant casino, all-day dining restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, rooftop infinity pool, bar and lounge, gymnasium, and wellness facilities.
The architectural and interior design concept draws inspiration from Nepalese culture—integrating motifs like the Mani Wheel , Rhododendron flower , Dhaka fabric patterns , and elements from Nepal’s flag and emblem. The color palette blends bold hues of red, blue, orange, and yellow, symbolizing vibrancy, peace, warmth, and elegance. This seamless blend of tradition and modernity ensures an immersive experience for travelers while meeting international standards of hospitality.
Our Client’s Challenge
To develop a state-of-the-art hotel that seamlessly integrates modern aesthetics with the cultural richness of Nepal while meeting international standards of comfort, functionality, and sustainability. The challenge was to create a space that resonates with both local heritage and global traveler expectations—offering a unique identity among mid-to-upscale select-service hotels in the region.
Our Approach And Solution
We proposed a holistic interior design approach that blends contemporary sophistication with traditional Nepalese artistry. Key elements include cultural integration through Dhaka weave textures, Rhododendron-themed artwork, Mani Wheel partitions, and Thangka-style panels; modern functionality with efficient zoning, a grand lobby, smart layouts, and premium F&B and wellness spaces; sustainable design using natural light, local materials, and energy-efficient systems; and luxury touches like a rooftop infinity pool, bar lounge, gym, and refined finishes throughout.
